PaperCut today announced that its latest version of Print Deploy has been verified as Citrix Ready®. The Citrix Ready program helps customers identify third-party solutions that are recommended to enhance virtualization, networking and cloud computing solutions from Citrix Systems, Inc. Print Deploy completed a rigorous verification process to ensure compatibility with Citrix Virtual Apps and Citrix Virtual Desktops, providing confidence in joint solution compatibility.
The Citrix Ready program makes it easy for customers to identify complementary products and solutions that can enhance Citrix environments. Customers can be confident that Print Deploy has successfully passed a series of tests established by Citrix, and can be trusted to work effectively with Citrix app and desktop virtualization to automatically configure the best printer(s) for a user’s physical location, no matter where their virtual environment is running.
Print Deploy allows Citrix VDI users to identify nearby printers from their client device, avoiding the need to search through long lists of printers across the whole Citrix environment.
Now, Print Deploy is aware of both user and client locations and personal preferences, and serves a short, targeted list of printers - or even just the best one - saving Citrix users time and frustration. This in turn saves Citrix admins significant support time, making printing for their VDI users easier to deploy and manage.
PaperCut’s VDI solution is client agnostic, which means users can connect to their virtual desktop from any device, whether they use a Chromebook, Windows, Mac, Linux, tablet or even a thin or mobile device client.
