Choose your print queue/Print Deploy client installation method
Before you deploy the clients, you may want to first configure the behavior of the client (unless you're happy with the defaults). For example, you can change the frequency of polling, the authentication method, and set a default printer. For more information, see Configure the client .
For Chromebooks, see Deploy print queues to Chromebooks using Google Chrome Enterprise Administration and Print Deploy.
For Windows and macOS, there are the three methods of rolling out the Print Deploy client to users' computers. Choose which method is best for your environment:
-
Download the Print Deploy client and manually install it on the users' computer.
-
Deploy it using:
- a mobile device management (MDM) tool, for example, Microsoft Intune or Jamf Pro
- Group Policy
-
Have the users download and install the Print Deploy client themselves.
After the client has been installed on users' computers, users will have access to information in the Use Print Deploy page. Users will access this page by clicking on the Help icon in the Print Deploy client navigation menu.
