Change the Application Server ports

This page applies to:

By default PaperCut NG/MF runs an internal web server on port 9191 (HTTP) and 9192/9195 (HTTPS).

You can change the Application Server port from 9191/9192 to any other value, such as 80/ 443. For more information, see Enable ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) . The Application Server will always listen on 9195.

Application Server connections

The following components connect to and from the Application Server:

  • Admin web interface
  • User web interface
  • Web Cashier
  • Payment Gateway Module
  • Site Servers
  • MFD/printer (port 9193 for device RPC—used only for embedded copier/MFP solutions)

The following components connect to the Application Server:

  • Print Provider (secondary server and Direct Print Monitors, including the Print Deploy Client)
  • Standard Release Station
  • User Client
  • Mobility Print server

The Application Server connects to:

  • User directories (Active Directory, LDAP, etc.)

All of the above components, clients, and services need to be able to access your newly configured port on the server from across the entire network.

If your organization uses firewalls between departments or campuses, then allow inbound HTTP and HTTPS connections on the designated ports to the PaperCut NG/MF Application Server.
