How to collect Document Processing Logs

THE PAGE APPLIES TO:

Contents

PaperCut MF supports optical character recognition (OCR), blank page removal, despeckling, and deskewing as part of our Document Processing feature. This function can either be performed by a service hosted in the Cloud, or by a component that can be installed on an on-premise server.

The instructions to set up this feature are described in our manual here, and this article simply explains how to find the logs for the locally hosted/on-premise Document Processing server when requested by Support.

Steps

  1. Log onto the server where the Document Processing service is installed.
  2. Open the file explorer and browse to C:\Program Files\PaperCut OCR\data\logs.
  3. Make a copy of the file called pc-ocr.log to share with us.
