Each printer that will be available with Web Print must have Web Print enabled. Smaller organizations might want to make all printers available, while larger organizations might want to restrict to a subset e.g. limiting access to printers located in public areas.
You can replace the printer list with a clickable map or other custom content. See Designing printer maps / custom printer selection lists for details.
To enable Web Print for a printer:
-
Click the Printers tab.
The Printer List page is displayed. -
Select a printer.
The Printer Details page is displayed showing the Summary tab contents. -
In the Advanced Configuration area, select the Enable Web Print (users may upload documents to print) check box.
-
Confirm that the printer is enabled for Web Print:
-
Select Enable Printing > Mobile & BYOD.
The Mobile & BYOD page is displayed. -
In the Web Print area, ensure that the Status is OK. If the status indicates an error, see Troubleshooting Web Print problems .
If your Web Print server is for Email to Print only, you should see the full set of supported document types in the Email to Print set up area. If there is a problem, temporarily enable Web Print so you can take advantage of the additional status information provided in the Web Print setup.
