Configure who sees print job thumbnails

This page applies to:

🔎 Admin console: Print Security > Privacy & Compliance > Thumbnail visibility

📄 Thumbnails are miniature previews of the first page. You can read all about them in Print document previews and print job thumbnails. Or learn more about securing your print environment .

Steps

To set the thumbnail option:

  1. Go to Print Security > Privacy & Compliance > Thumbnail visibility. The Privacy & Compliance panel is displayed.
  2. Select one of the three options:
    • Admin & user - The admin can see all thumbnails in the Job Log and the user can see them.
    • Print user only - Only the print user can see thumbnails.
    • No one - Disable thumbnail generation.
  3. Click Save changes.
