Renaming a printer

It might be that different machines have the same printers configured with different names - so when the Printer discovery process finds them, it may not be the name you were hoping for.

There are two ways to rename a printer:

  1. In the Printers list, find the printer you need rename.

  2. Open the Rename box. Either:

    • Click the three-dot ‘⋮’ icon at the end of the printer row and select Rename. or
    • Click the printer to open the printer details page, then click the pencil icon.
  3. Type the new name and click Save Changes.
