🔎 Admin console: Easy Print & Scan > Print Offline
What if your ISP goes down? No worries. Our Print Offline feature will allow your Edge Mesh to continue working while your internet is down. Your users will still be able to still print locally and securely through the Edge Mesh. If the internet is unreliable, your printing remains reliable!
For offline printing to work, there are some requirements that must be met:
- The Print Offline feature must be enabled.
- The router must be online and working.
- There is no internet connection between your ISP and your network.
- Port 9266 is open for users to access with their mobile devices.
- Users’ mobile devices must be on the same WiFi network as the edge nodes. For example, Mike’s mobile phone is on Company Wi-Fi and the Edge Mesh that needs to print jobs is also on Company Wi-Fi.
When printing offline is working
There are a few things to be aware of:
- Users won’t receive printing prompts for things like black and white and safety net.
- Watermarks and digital signatures won’t be printed.
Print tracking still works. Print jobs are stored on the computer when it’s offline, then when it comes online all the jobs are sent to the cloud and tracked.
